Recommended to women of all ages! No experience, strength or flexibility required! On this friendly and informative session we will approach realistic and practical self-defense tips and techniques to empower women to protect themselves. Young girls and teens are encouraged to team up and work together during the workshop or in the absence of peers of the same age, it is required that a parent or a relative participate in the workshop with the child or teen.
Special Note for Pregnant Women, New Moms or Anyone with any Injuries or Physical Disability: This workshop is as much informative as it is hands-on. We do encourage everyone’s participation with mindful attention to honor your body’s needs. For your safety, we will help you find modifications whenever possible or we will recommend that you skip certain techniques that cannot be modified to support your current condition. We are sure that by listening in to what is being taught and by doing as much or as little of the hands-on techniques as you can, you will leave the workshop with a heightened sense of awareness and will be empowered to keep safe at all times and stages of your life. Those with any medical concerns are advised to discuss them with their doctor and to follow the doctor’s recommendation in approaching the practice of a physical activity. Please contact our instructor to let her know of your needs prior to the beginning of the workshop.
