“The fact that everyone can benefit from learning Gracie Jiu-Jitsu makes us committed to offer quality programs for the entire family and community.”
Self-Defense
This is a key component of all our classes and programs. By learning through the defensive mechanisms of the fight we are able to comprehend and take the proper measures to stay safe at all times, be it during a competitive/recreational match or in situations where we may need to stand up for ourselves and our loved ones.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Fundamentals – Gi
This class is a traditional and essential training for all Gracie Jiu-Jitsu students. Using the gi or kimono (traditional training suite) students learn techniques to apply leverage and submissions to defend themselves. In order to facilitate the gradual development of our students, this is the ideal class for those starting their training journey and a great opportunity for all students – white to black belts – to perfect their skills and technique.
Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Intermeadiate/Advanced – Gi
This class allows for the continuation of the student’s development. Once students have built a strong foundation through the Fundamentals classes and have acquired a basic knowledge of body mechanics and self-defense, this class gradually and naturally becomes another option for the practitioners seeking to “flow” and advance. The gi or kimono is also the tool used in this class.
Submission Essentials
This class breaks down each submission application and presents details on how to put powerful combinations together in order to refine student’s skills and knowledge. It is recommended to students of all levels.
No Gi Grappling
This class is much like the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu class; however the gi or kimono is not worn. Instead participants wear shorts and rash-guards. Distribution of weight, application of submission holds and grips are important aspects approached here. Exclusively “No Gi Grappling” classes are traditionally held during the summer months (Middle of July through Labor Day) and on a regular basis through our MMA and No Gi Grappling classes.
MMA – No Grappling / NHB – No Holds Barred
This class is the popular fighting style originated in Brazil and popularized in the USA and worldwide by UFC and Pride events. Punching, kicking and No Gi Grappling techniques are the essence of this class.
